Actors: Hasanuddin, the new leader of the JI subunit in Poso, Adnan Arsal's daughter Aminah.

Event: In an attempt to establish Hasanuddin's power quickly in Poso, he is married to Aminah. He becomes the secretary of the Ulil Albab orphanage, and otherwise sells shrimp chips for a living. He quickly organizes the disorganized mujahidin groups in Poso and revives previous JI fighters in Poso. He then divides the local mujahidin into two main groups, a military wing and religious outreach wing.

Event: Body of Jasad Yuda is found near Kuku village with apparent stab wounds to the neck. He was an employee at Depot Pertamina Poso and had deposted Rp. 41,800,000 at the office. Another body is found the same day near Sanginora village, the cause of death unknown.

Event: Kampopa village was attacked in the middle of the night. Yepta Barumuju (37) is shot and killed, Dharma Kusuma (35) is shot and injured. After the residents flee the village, all of the houses are burned down and then the churches.

Event: Bachtiar (aka Manto) (20), a suspected suicide bomber, dies instantly when a bomb explodes in his father's (Arsiah Ali) house on Pulau Sabang. Bachtiar was a suspect in the bombing of Victoria Café and the burning of the Linda Jaya bus in 2001. He may have also been involved with the bomb explosion of the PT-PLN (state-owned electricity company) in Palu.

Event: Sujono Miskun (40) is killed and Berti Salondeno (35) is injured in a drive-by shooting. They were attacked by four men on two motorbikes.

Note: Miskun was the treasurer for an elementary school, he had been planning to withdrawl teachers salaries that day from a bank.

Event: Beteleme, which was home to Tibo, is attacked. Devina Mbai (45) and Oster Tarioko (45) were killed.  Others injured included Hengki Malino (38) and L Malo (30). Material damage included 35 houses, three cars, and seven motorcycles burned. Four 5.56 mm bullets, one FN bullet, and one Molotov bomb were found.

Note: Jemaah Islamiya gave logistical and weaponry support for this stage of attacks. The incident prompted national attention after a relative lull in violence in the previous year.

Emilia, (32) Iya Ngayantina (33) from Saatu village and I Wayan Harun Santosa (32) Jonatan (13) Ripka (11) Usman Badui (25) Alboi (27) Andolia (46) Rifka Korai (28) Yohana (35) Hepson Peatna  (43) from Pantangolemba village are injured. A resident of Saatu village, Papa Awan (55) is reported missing.

At approximately the same time in Wayura village, Pamona Selatan subdistrict, Neles Mausa (39) and Chandra (8) are injured when a bomb they are constructing explodes.

Because of this, over 500 residents of Lembomawo and Rononuncu villages in Poso Kota subdistrict, and Maliwuk village in Lage subdistrict flee to safer areas in Tagolu and Pandiri villages in North Pamona subdistrict.

Event: The decomposing body of Susanto Jafar (aka Yanto) (25) of Lawanga neighborhood, Poso City, is found on a bridge. His legs were wrapped in sacks and filled with stones. The body showed signs of heavy beating.

Event: Three houses are burned and one truck is damaged in an attack on Gebangrejo village, Poso City. Police found twelve bullet casings from a 5.56 mm calibre weapon, a canister of oil and matches near the truck at the crime scene.

Police and soldiers also kill three suspects, Ari (aka Taufik)(25) from Tegal Rejo, Poso; Ali Lasuedi (31), and Syahdat (aka Saddam) (30), in a forest near Bintangor village, Lembo subdistrict, Morowali district.

Five more suspects are arrested: Ishak (aka Abdul Galib) (39) from Kayamaya, Poso; Hardianto (aka Tole) (21) from Rono Punco, Poso; Iwan (aka Parjan)(31), from Moengkolama, Poso City, Hasyim Acik (30) and Arif (21).

Event: Rachmat Seba alias Romo (38) rumoured to be the leader of the attackers responsible for recent violence in Morowali and Poso districts, is killed by a joint military and police force.

Four others are arrested in the same raid: H bin Tg, R bin HMA(23), SAK (21), and AB (40). During the raid, the joint team of military and police forces seized two M-16 rifles with two magazines and 206 bullets, and another SKS rifle with one magazine and twenty bullets.

Event: Two youth hit a police car and it rolled into the ditch. The police officer was angry and ordered members of Brimob (anti-riot mobile brigade) to chase them. Local residents protest in front of the police station in Pamona Utara, throwing stones at patrol cars and the front window of the police station. One protestor is shot in the back.
